Unsolved Mysteries of Titanic Shipwreck: A Journey of Discovery

During the investigation on the Titanic shipwreck, researchers noticed a strange thing. The next part of the ship was in good condition at the bottom of the sea, while the last part was in very bad condition and that too was 2000 feet away. Iron and steel rots away if they remain at the same time, then why was there such a big difference in the next and last part? Researchers believe that on the night of the accident, apart from colliding with the iceberg, something else happened to the Titanic that caused more damage to its last part. But the question is, what is this? The night of 1912 when the Titanic incident took place, it was located 700 km away from Newfoundland, Canada, in the middle of the dark ocean. At the time of the incident, a total of 2,240 people were on board, of which 1,500 lost their lives.

The so-called unsinkable, was seen in front of the power of nature, and was seen by the black sea before their eyes. The eyewitnesses of this incident were only those people who somehow managed to get out of the ship and jump into the cold Atlantic Ocean. The record of everything that happened from the collision of the iceberg to the sinking of the ship was not with anyone other than those eyewitnesses, who were busy fighting the cold water. The first rescue ship, RMS Carpathia, also reached there after 1.5 hours of the Titanic sinking. They were lucky to receive an emergency message from the Titanic, otherwise those who were fighting a life-or-death battle in the cold water would have lost their lives. And no one knew what happened to the ship, but the survivors said that the ship had collided with an iceberg.

These statements were confirmed by looking at the iceberg on the spot, on which the Titanic’s red paint was still applied. After the incident, looking at the eyewitnesses and evidence, the investigation report stated that an iceberg had left a 300-foot-wide hole on the right side of the Titanic, meaning that a third of the Titanic’s entire side had burst. But on the other hand, eyewitnesses said that it took about two and a half hours for the ship to sink. Investigators believe that if the iceberg had really left a 300-foot-wide hole on the Titanic, it would have sunk in a few minutes. But what was the truth, no one could find out at that time. To know the truth, it was necessary to find the Titanic ship. For many years, the search for the Titanic continued and every passing year, this mystery became more and more serious.

Finally, after 73 years, when the Titanic was found, it was a big breakthrough for the discovery of the Titanic. It was time to find the answers to all the questions that the Titanic left behind. In the 4,000-meter depth of the Atlantic Ocean, the Titanic’s wreck was in the dark for decades. Many expeditions were arranged that captured countless photos of the shipwreck. Oceanic explorer P. H. Narshalay has visited the Titanic more than 30 times, but he has not seen a 300-foot-wide hole. However, in this profile photo of the Titanic, this 30-foot area shows that something had come here.

Its area is only 11 square feet. And according to calculations, 370 gallons of water could be accumulated in the Titanic in every second. To fill water at this speed means that the whole ship would have been filled in 2.5 hours. And according to eyewitnesses, it took 2.5 hours to sink the Titanic. That means a mystery has been solved that there was not a 300-foot-wide hole in the Titanic, but only a 30-foot-wide crack. But this was not the only mystery. There was much more to be discovered. While investigating the Titanic shipwreck, researchers were not able to understand how the next part of the ship, which is called the bow, is in a better condition than its stern.

And why is there such a long distance between the two? To solve this mystery, high-tech sonar scanning technology was used. to solve the problem of the Titanic. The ROVs captured millions of photos of the Titanic shipwreck site and converted them into a 3D model using computer graphics. The model also contained all the details that a normal camera or human eye cannot see. that all decks of the 392 feet long stern are inserted into each other as if it is a paper ship, not steel. Different parts are scattered around the ship, except for two large engines the size of a house, which are attached to it.

Another important sign is hidden in this model, the sign that indicates the condition of Stern. When Stern collided with the ocean floor 110 years ago, its signs are still visible here, which can only be seen through a 3D model. These signs show that when Stern collided with the ocean floor, it was rotating anti-clockwise. Scientists can guess from these marks that the stern was going into the water at a speed of 80 km per hour at that time. When the last part of the ship was going so fast into the water, the forces generated by the water lifted the loose parts of the ship and when it was 4 km below the ocean floor, all its decks were stuck inside each other. On the other hand, as you can see, the bow section is hydrodynamic.

It can cut water easily, just like a ship cuts water while floating. This is the reason why the bow section was not rotating in the face of the stern and neither were the forces of water directly attacking it. Finally, another mystery of the incident that happened 110 years ago was solved. But there is one more question that is very important to find the answer to. That is, when did the Titanic ship split into two parts? As you know, the news of the ship breaking into two parts before it sank.

This is true to a large extent, but it is not the whole truth. When the bow section was filled with water, it went into the water, which caused the entire weight of the stern section to fall on the pivot point, the center. This center point could not bear so much weight and broke and was divided into two parts. But the 3D model made by sonar scanning is telling a different story. Yes, if you see, the equipment inside the Titanic is scattered far and wide on the ocean floor. It also has coffee cups, dinner plates, chandeliers, deck benches and personal belongings of people. percent items is term section K. Total 10,000 items are spread over this area which is 3.2 square kilometers. If this section was separated from the bow section above the water, it means that as it reaches the ocean floor, its volume would not be 3.2 square kilometers but would in a much larger area, as you can see in this animation.

So, experts believe that this section broke above the water, but it happened near the ocean floor, which is different from many other sections. And then, while rotating, it changed its direction and fell 2000 feet away. Today, the body of RMS Titanic is completely rusted. Scientists believe that oxygen is very low in the ocean and that is why the rusting process is very slow. But when some samples of Zung were taken out and tested, it was found that Zung was caused by oxygen released from bacteria.

Experts believe that the faster Zung is being used, in the coming years, all the floors of the Titanic will fall on each other and then it will lose its original shape forever.
